Money, Cash for Comment, and Payola

If you’ve made your way to the Disclaimer page, you’re probably interested in how I’m making my millions and rolling around like Scrooge McDuck in a vault full of dollar bills.

Truth be told, i’m not making millions, nor do I have a vault. I’d be unlikely to have a vault full of dollar bills in the instance I was making millions – they wouldn’t be very useful here in Australia, where our dollars are coins and our shrimp are barbie’d.

Unless I state otherwise on a blog post, I’ve come across a book, product, or service and paid for it (or used a free trial). I’m unlikely to ever receive anything for free! Rest assured though, that anything received for promotional purposes will receive the same level of scrutiny and care that I would apply to something I paid for myself.

I plan to use some affiliate programs to try and offset the costs of running this site – it’s safe to assume that any link to a product or service will be using an affiliate or referral link if it’s available. These links will usually give me a small percentage of your purchase at that site – on products I link you to, and other products as well for a period of time.

  • Amazon – All my book links have an affiliate code. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
  • Evernote – Where I reference and link to Evernote, I use my referrer code. I get points if you buy premium, which I can use to extend my Evernote premium subscription.

My words are my own – and your words are mine
